Jason Garfield Award
In the early 1990's the Fund commissioned well-known Marblehead sculptor Beverly Seaman to create a sculpture depicting the image of Jason preparing to play in a hockey game. The project was funded entirely through the generosity of the late Marblehead native Joan Natchelder who was a client and friend of board member Ken Roy at the time.

The idea behind the sculpture was simple, to create a unique work of art that would be used as a trophy honoring very special people to the fund and our community. Only five (5) awards were initially produced and, to date, only two (2) have been awarded.

The first award was presented to past M'head Youth Hockey president - Norman Cressy. He was identified by the board as a leader in the community through his hard work and tireless dedication to the youth hockey program.

The second award recipient was the late Michael Snow. Mike was selected for all his efforts in Marblehead Hockey as well as being a founding member of the Fund.
